Pro-TeKt^® 0-0-3 The Silicon Solution^® is a supplement that supplies silicon and higher levels of potassium to build stronger plant cell walls.

Since silicon does not translocate within the plant, it must be applied and made available continually throughout the plant’s life cycle.
In hydroponics, Pro-TeKt is a replacement for the silica normally found in soils, though those natural levels provide only slight benefits to plants.
Plants supplied regularly with Pro-TeKt experience increased rates of growth and stronger stems.
Deposited in a hard, opalene form in the epidermis of leaves and stems, silicon adds mechanical strength and supports plants’ natural defenses against insects and fungal infection.
Plants become more tolerant to drought, heat, and cold stresses, and will support the weight of dense, heavy fruits, vegetables and flowers.
Pro-TeKt can be used as a surfactant and to raise pH. Pro-TeKt The Silicon Solution is recommended for all plants.

Dyna-Gro Foliage Pro Plant Nutrition

Tried and true, the Dyna-Gro products – Foliage Pro and Pro TeKt – are all the nutritional products you’ll need for maintaining your foliage plants. Foliage Pro, with its 9-3-6 formulation has a complete set of macro- and micro-nutrients to keep your plants healthy and growing. For added cellular strength, which translates in to longer-lasting plants, add Pro-TeKt to the mix – it’s a supplement that provides higher levels of potassium.

Application Rates

Maintenance: Mix ¼ – ½ tsp. per gallon of water with every watering.
Monthly Feeding: Use 2 – 3 tsp. per gallon of water.
Foliar Application: Mix ¼ – ½ tsp. per gallon of water and spray directly of leaves.Tried and true, the Dyna-Gro products – Foliage Pro and Pro TeKt – are all the nutritional products you’ll need for maintaining your foliage plants. Both these products are recommended for use starting 6 months after receiving your plant. Our plants have residual nutrients in the soil from when they were grown and don’t need additional nutrients until approximately 6 months after shipping.

PlantAssure Sub-Irrigation System

A PLANTZ exclusive that makes caring for your plant foolproof. Our PlantAssure Sub-irrigation System is designed to extend your plant’s watering interval, often times allowing plants to go several weeks to a month between waterings.

The kit is sized to the grow pot of your plant, and raises the grow pot above the liner creating a reservoir from which the plant draws water as the soil dries down. Each kit includes:

1) one PVC ring of approximately 6" or 8" in diameter that will raise the grow pot approximately 1" off the bottom of the liner

2) four wicks made of capillary matting material that absorb water from the reservoir into the soil profile.

When a PlantAssure kit is ordered with a new plant from us, the plant will be delivered to you with the wicks installed and you will incur no additional shipping costs. You will simply place the plant on top of the PVC ring in the liner and push the wicks down in to the bottom of the liner where it will come in contact with the water when you water the plant.

Please note that liners are NOT included with the system if it is purchased without a plant but any local garden center should have these. You should measure the diameter of the base of the plant and purchase one locally that is slightly larger.

You can order the PlantAssure kits separately and install them yourself on your existing plants or plants from other sources.

Foam Spacer

A Foam Spacer is used in a professional plant set up to fill space between the outside of the grow pot and the inside of the (decorative) planter, and to provide support to top-dressing materials. Make sure your plants are sitting straight in the pot and doesn’t get out of alignment with the slightest touch. These foam spacers ensure that you plant stays put when you walk by or water your plant.

Preserved Mood Moss

Preserved mood moss is a top dressing that provides a rich-looking finish to your plant presentation. It is live moss harvested from North Carolina and Kentucky and has been "preserved" with a dye to keep it green and fresh looking for a very long time.

'New' moss has an 'earthy' smell that dissipates after a few days of exposure to air. Just a head's up.
